Happy New Year, 1987

The year was at an end and it had been very different than 1985, things were changing in life as we all started to move on, and maybe grow up. This was demonstrated at year end as one of our wild bunch friends from the Poacher Pub, Eric, married in the December, which came as a complete surprise to quite a few of us.

However, the "corner" as we called it was being refreshed with younger blood and some of the "old" approaching thirty group started thinking more about their nests than the art of drinking beer.

I was tired of the scene and had come to the conclusion that a lot of my social problems had been the direct result of too much of the amber fluid, even as I was wallowing in home brew that December, things were starting to change and I decided that 1987 would definately be a year of revolution.

I just didn't know how dramatic that would be at this point.
