Lion House

John Wingate was interested in buying a printer for his Commodore 128 and we devised a cunning plan.

I obtained a two paged specification sheet for a dot matrix printer and on the reverse side was the contact information :


The phone number was for Knowsley Safari Park, a nearby wildlife reserve, and we encouraged John to phone up to see what the deal was.

John phoned and we listened, the one sided conversation went something like this :

"Hello?"

"Yes, I'm trying to get in touch with the Lion House"

"Yes, the Lion House. I'm looking for a printer"

"Hurrrgghhhh!"

He then called us buggers.

I tell ya, the laughs kept coming in that place...
