Paint Job

Outside the flat in Romford, Pete tinkering with the final version of the car.

I recall that during the time Pete was "doing it up" Mark Gaskill had evolved from a Humber Sceptre (Sluggard), a black Mk1 Ford Cortina to a Mk2 1600E Cortina. The latter being financed through an insurance claim after boy racers clouted the back end of the Mk1 Cortina.

At the time of me buying the Hillman Imp, Mark was in the process of selling his Dutton kit car, a beautiful, Ford based monster.
